Chidi Anukwuem, MD, is a trusted and diligent internist serving the communities of Irvington and Old Bridge, New Jersey. Practicing as a part of LCT Medical, he sees patients for a range of general medical concerns, including hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, obesity, weight management, opioid abuse, and Suboxone®.
Dr. Anukwuem received his bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Obafemi Awolowo University (formerly the University of Ife) in Nigeria and attended medical school at the Obafemi Awolowo University College of Health Sciences. He then relocated to the United States and completed his residency in internal medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in New York City.
He is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association (formerly the American Society of Bariatric Physicians). Dr. Anukwuem is fluent in English and Igbo, making him accessible to a diverse clientele. During his consultations, he gives each patient his focused attention and is deeply committed to their well-being. He takes the time to thoroughly explain his patients’ conditions and assist them in choosing a suitable treatment plan.

Miriam Joseph, NP is an energetic and hard-working Board-Certified nurse practitioner with over 20 years of professional experience. Serving the Irvington, New Jersey, community as part of LCT Medical, Miriam specializes in acute care, occupational medicine, primary care, obesity and weight management, and addiction medicine (Suboxone). She serves as a patient advocate, listener, counselor and most importantly provides seamless safe and compassionate care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Miriam received her nursing degree at Muhlenberg School of Nursing in Plainfield, New Jersey and then attended Walden University where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a Board-certified NP by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and holds certifications in the areas of addiction medicine (Suboxone), Food and Nutrition, Women’s Health and as a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical examiner.
As a proud member of the New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Miriam remains actively engaged in advancing her skills and staying updated with best practices in patient care. She is fluent in English and Haitian Creole, which makes her accessible to a diverse clientele. Miriam’s nursing background allows her to be patient, compassionate, and empathetic to her patients. Her exceptional interpersonal and communication skills enable her to effectively diagnose and manage patients with both acute and chronic medical conditions.
